KING KONG/GODZILLA FESTIVAL



"King Kong/Godzilla Festival" was an annual creature horror movie show presented by WOR-TV Channel 9 in New York, New York, USA; every Thanksgiving on Thursday & Friday. The show likely ran in the mid 1970s for at least five years; usually screening the same movies, sometimes with an extra movie squeezed in.



The movies shown were:

Thursdays:
12:30pm: "Mighty Joe Young"
2:30pm: "King Kong"
4:30pm: "Son of Kong"


Fridays:
12:30pm: "Godzilla vs The Bionic Monster"
2:15pm: "Godzilla vs Megalon"
4:00pm: "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster"


 or in 1978:

12:30pm: "Son of Godzilla"
1:30pm: "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster"
3:00pm: "Godzilla vs The Sea Monster"
4:30pm: "Godzilla vs Megalon"


 or in 1979:

12:30pm: "Godzilla vs The Cosmic Monster"
2:15pm: "Godzilla vs Megalon"
4:00pm: "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster"
