"The Basement Sublet of Horror" is a hosted horror movie show with Joel Sanderson as "Gunther Dedmund". The show began showing on Cox Cable channel 7 in Wichita, Kansas, USA. The show is featured on public access in Dayton, Ohio; as a featured guest on the Horror host Underground's cable access network. The Lawrence local newspaper "Lawrence Journal World" runs a full page feature on the show; with the show featured on the front cover of local Lawrence, Kansas, news magazine "The Lawrencian". on 13 June, the movie shows continue as "The Basement Sublet of Horror" which goes on the air on Sunflower public access TV channel 99, Lawrence, Kansas. GUNTHER DEDMUND From the Official web page: The Show & Producer "The Basement Sublet of Horror" is the creation of the show's producer Joel Sanderson who's been working with old films his whole life. Their were several incarnations of this movie show presented in different live formats, years before the production on "The Basement Sublet of Horror" began. "M.T. Pockets Budget Film Fest" was a live stage show that played at the Wichita Center for the Arts in Wichita, Kansas for six years from 1996 to 2002. Preceded by "The Escape' Drive-in" an outdoor drive-in movie theme party that was held in Vinland, Kansas from 1989 to 1994. "The Basement Sublet of Horror" is based on Joel's nostalgia for vintage horror hosts from the past, especially "The Host and Rodney" show from Wichita's television history. The basic concepts of BSOH are a loving parody of "The Host and Rodney", "The Basement Sublet of Horror" includes a lonely house on the hill in the shows opening segment as a homage to the host's original television program which was also known as "Nightmare". Oh, the horror of it all, he just keeps coming back and coming back. He loves to torture you and he just can't stop. Today I present Gunther Dedmund, host of The Basement Sublet of Horror which premiered in 2006 on Lawrence, Kansas Public Access Channel 99. The show still airs on public access channels across the country and can be seen on the internet via Livestream, Vimeo, YouTube, and The Internet Archive. Gunther collects horror cinema; his collection lives in his basement with him. Dedmund is a virtual well of knowledge... a deep dark well that holds horrific secrets. Should you dare to ask what he knows, he might tell you things that you weren't meant to know. Gunther does have handy knowledge as well, for instance, if Gamera should ever happen to poop on your house, he has a solution that'll help you to turn a profit.
