"Me Gunther Horror Show" is a hosted horror movie review series with Lawrence J. Block as 'Gunter". The show was first screened on YouTube from 4 June 2020, with two more shows being produced produced, and with the last shown on 17 August 2020. The character of "Gunther" is based on the deformed killer from the 1981 horror movie "The Funhouse".

If you value your life, don't tell the anyone of his whereabouts. Tonight I present Gunther, host of the Me Gunther Horror Show which can be seen on YouTube. You may remember him from the 1981 classic horror movie Funhouse directed by Tobe Hooper, written by Larry Block, and starring Elizabeth Berridge, Kevin Conway, William Finley, Cooper Huckabee, Miles Chapin, and Sylvia Miles. The film's plot concerns four teenagers who become trapped in a dark ride at a local carnival and are stalked by a deformed killer... or rather stalked by our esteemed host Gunther. Since his scream debut in 1981, his whereabouts have remained a secret, however, it's rumored that screen writer Larry Block has kept him in hiding all these decades in order to avoid police detection. Bored as hell and anxious to reclaim his rightful place in the world of horror, Gunther convinced Larry to write material for a new show. This was to be a show unlike any other, it was a deep dive into the history of horror movies... the hits, the bombs, the remakes, the sequels, high budget, low budget, and no budget at all. It was well written, highly informative, and extremely clever; a true horror lovers dream... hosted by a true horror icon. Episode 3 features a captivating in depth review of the 1985 zombie classic Return of the Living Dead, a MUST SEE for any fan of this film. Unfortunately, disappointed with low viewership, Gunther decided to put his show on hiatus. I encourage every horror fan to check it out and maybe, just maybe... Gunther might return. Wowzers!
