"Chiller Theatre" was a non-hosted movie series, showing American International (and other non-Universal) horror movies of the 1950's; Saturday nights on WPIX-TV Channel 11, New York City, New York, USA from 2 January 1971 until 21 August 1982. The show's opening in the early 1970's had an animation of an eerie six-fingered hand that would sink into quicksand as a deep voice would intone: "Chiiiiiiiiiilleeeeeeeeeer".
