From The Acri Company web page: "The Acri Creature Feature, starring Chuck Acri, ran from 1969 through 1976. It was revived by popular demand for a season in 1982 and most recently in 2003. Back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, before the advent of cable and satellite television, The Acri Creature Feature television show thrived during the late night hours. Back then you had an option, watch the Creature Feature, or watch nothing at all on television. "Chuck Acri" - biography (taken from Bradley's Facebook page)" He was my childhood horror host. Tonight I present Chuck Acri, host of Acri's Creature Feature on WQAD-TV in the Quad Cities. Through the brilliant marketing of Chuck Acri, the show was syndicated throughout Illinois and Iowa. It began in 1969 and ran until 1976, it was revived for a season in 1982 and again in 2003. Chuck Acri was a successful businessman who used the program to help launch his home improvement business. The show featured several characters, Vincent Hedges, Beauregard the werewolf, Emmit the hunchback, and The Missing Link, who would perform outrageously funny skits during commercial breaks. A drawing of mine once made it to his art wall, but to my disappointment I didn't win Creep of the Week. Some of the fondest memories of my childhood are staying up late on Friday nights with my father eating popcorn and watching Acri Creature Feature. In 2013, Chuck Acri was inducted into "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame". Sadly Chuck Acri and Ken Gibson have passed away.
